Singing means a lot to
me and I’m so glad that I have found a way to share that with you. I
love to sing different kinds of music such as old time favorites,
patriotic, country, and gospel. But my husband tells me when I sing
gospel music I really “light up.” That’s probably because the music from
the Lord comes from my heart. The other kinds of music are fun, and
perhaps exciting, but there’s nothing like the songs that come from
within.
I have sung in various settings such as musicals and operettas, churches, banquets, country fairs, weddings, memorial services, horse shows and races, athletic events, dedications, and flag day ceremonies. A few highlights are when I got to sing for the Washington Governor’s Prayer Breakfast and another was the Businessmen’s Prayer Breakfast where the keynote speaker was James Irwin (the astronaut that went to the moon). As a junior high school girl I was in a trio that was featured with the Cathedral Choral Aires and later as an adult I became a regular member of that group. Being a part of The Singing Christmas Tree in Tacoma, Washington was a special time for me, singing with the chorus and also featured as a soloist many times.
I am now a member of the Pacific Gospel Music Association and participate in their festival every November. Three days of Southern Gospel music, it doesn't get any better than this!
I travel the country presenting concerts, and have recorded six CDs.
